My story

Little bio of me...

Mikyoung started practicing Pilates in 2005 through Mari Winsor's Mat to have a perfect bikini body for the summer. 2-3 months of regular mat workouts were successful to have the Rock-Hard abs. After her impressive result

The second phase of her Pilates was in 2014 when she went through the tough life change. At this time, she got "natural rhythm" back in her life from Pilates. She is a strong advocate of strengthening the mind as well as the body.

She has a life-long passion toward well-being and earned a B.S Degree in Human Nutrition from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her keen hands on and analysis of a body offer clients to meet their goals and go to the next level. She educates a client not only to build the sleek body, but boost the stamina. 

Karen’s passion as an instructor comes from challenging her clients to surpass their own expectations and to constantly strive for more. With this focus on empowerment, and a deep understanding of the Pilates method, she enjoys helping her clients reach their personal goals, regardless of age or fitness level. In addition to witnessing their physical progress, one of Karen’s favorite parts of working with clients is seeing their energy and self-confidence improve. Being able to help people physically and emotionally in such a direct way gives her great satisfaction as an instructor.
